Love's never wrong when it's real

“I know! He is still in your mind, right?”

Aurus’s words are still cross in my mind. My breath is so heavy and so my tears fell down. I don’t know how much I spent the tissue. I don’t know what should I do now?

Yup, Aurus is an important person in my life (read; boyfriend). It has been seven months since I had a relationship with him. Aurus is a good man and he is three years older than me. Even so, he hasn’t been able to think as adults.

I also have a friend named Archie. He’s my brother’s best friend. He’s kind, funny, and mature, though he was a year younger than Aurus. Maybe that’s why I admired him. One time, he and my brother graduated from Senior High School, and he choose to follow his father lived in Bandung. At that moment, I realized that I love him. Foolishly, I shut myself in my room when he said goodbye to me.

I live my life for two years to get over it. I also graduated from senior high school and continued studying in STIS. Finally I found Aurus, a final semester student at STAN. I met him at the supermarket near my house. Our first meeting wasn’t so pleasant. It is because our shopping is swapped and he had to wait in the supermarket for a half hour to wait me back to the supermarket. And most surprisingly, he is my new neighbor who just moved from Bandung. Hmmm.. Bandung? Well, it reminded me to Archie.

After the meeting, I was getting closer to Aurus. Aurus often helped me and also my family. His family is very nice and friendly too. Eventually, I have a feeling to him. My brother told me that Aurus like me, but I don’t believe it. Until one night, Aurus took me to his yard. I never thought that he would express his feelings to me. I was very happy that night.

Aurus is a good man, patient, affectionate, and funny. He’s clever to offset my stubborn. I’m thankful to have a boyfriend like him. But sometimes, he is so childish and possessive. Actually, it doesn’t matter to me as he realized his attitude. Seven months we’ve been dating. We’ve been exchanging ideas, swapping stories and we finally knowing each other. But new problems come up.

One morning, I woke up hearing a noise in my living room. “Who’s that?”,I thought. I also walked out of the room with sober faces. What a surprise when I found Archie was laughing with my brother. My eyes widened, trying to revive myself. Could it be real or just a dream? Yes, he was so real when he stopped laughing when he saw me stare at him, moreover when he’s yelling my name, Eca! “What’s he doing here?” I whispered to myself. Archie was joking with my brother again. I don’t care and rushed to the bathroom. After bathing, I got a short message. I was very surprised to see the contents of the message.

Don’t stay long! I’m waiting you in front of your house!

“What does it mean?” I thought. After all done, I walked out to meet Archie. Sure enough, Archie was waiting me with his motorcycle. By his body language, I understood that I was told to go up to his motorcycle.

I was taken to a lake that was hmm.. very beautiful. I looked at Archie, puzzled. Suddenly, Archie took my hands and stared into my eyes. I was shocked; he had never held my hands like this before.

“I love you. Apparently, I can’t hide my feelings that I love you.” He said. I was silent, puzzled, mixed feelings.

“I came here is just want to say it all. I’m not forcing you to answer, because I know that you are Aurus’s now.”

We were silent. There is only the sound of wind blowing at that time. Archie suddenly bowed, his faced flushed.

“And I will not bear to take my brother’s girlfriend right?” he said.

I was shocked, my legs buckled aware of the fact that so difficult to understand.
